Antivirus, Antivirus Scan, AVG, Boot Time Scan,

These Days, Most Antivirus Programs Like AVG, Avira, Avast, Eset, Kaspersky etc Provide a Fecility to Run Scanning Using MS Command Prompt; It May Be A Better Way to Use the Command Line Scan Utility Than Loading and Clicking Several times in The Graphical User Interface(GUI), Which May Takes Bit More Time to Load.

Advantages:
+Fast
+Easy
+Powerful
+Can Run In Safe Mode

I'm Not Showing You Anything Newer, But Just Helping You to Walk By The Existing Way.
Since I'm Using The AVG Free Antivirus 2014( Its Just Personal )..
Some Free Antivirus Like Avast Doesn't Provide Command Line Scanner In Their Free Version. But Yea,..I Have!!(This Is Not An Advertisement anyway,AVG Has Its Own Defects& Advantages....)

So Let Me Show How You Can Scan for Viruses Using AVG antivirus Through Command Line:\>.

To Start Using The Scanner, You Should Reach The AVG Installation Folder, Either By

+Adding The Path To Windows Environment Variable(As I Explained In MY Last Post About Linx Terminal On Windows)

+By Manually Navigating Through Command Prompt Using CD Command.

+By Pointing Command Prompt to Open At The Installation Folder, To Do This :

Hold Shift Key & Right CLick The Folder

From Menu Select "Open Command Line Window Here"

+Some Scanning Parameters

To Perform Scan Using Heuristics, Use
     -H

(Heuristics Is A Artificial Intelligence Technique Used For Doing The Scan More Easily and Quicker Instead Of The Classical Methods.)

To Reduce Number Of Files That Are Being Scanned By Scanning Only The Infectable Extensions, USe
     -INFECTABLEONLY

Or

If You Need A Scan Through Media Files,Use
     -MEDIA

To Scan/Not To Scan Specified Type Of Extensions Use 'EXT'/'NOEXT' parameters

If You Want Scan Only EXE and BAT Extension Files
Use Parameter

     -EXT=EXE;BAT/

or

To Exclude Some Files Like JPG,MP3 Extensions From The Scan, Use
     -NOEXT=JPG;MP3/

Use Semicolon( ; ) to Separate Extensions

For Scanning Without Reporting Locked Files
Use Parameter:

     -IGNLOCKED

(Using This Parameter Would Be Better If You Are Not Good At Observing The Report,Cause Reporting Some Locked Files and You May Confuse to Think That Your Computer Is Infected Or Assuming It As A False Positive.)

To Clean The Virus Along With The Scanning Process Use
     -CLEAN

+Parameter For Reporting Objects Like PUPs, Archive Bombs,Tracking Cookies, MACROs,Password Protected Files or Hidden Extensions

     - P                              :Reports PUPs(Potentially Unwanted Applications)
     - M                       :Reports Macros
     -ARCBOMBSW     : Report Archive Bombs
     -C              :Reports Tracking Cookies
     -HIDDEN        :Reports Hidden Extension Files
     -PWDW           :Reports Password Protected

+Other Parameters
     -BOOT                        :Enable MBR/Boot  Check
     -THOROUGHSCAN        :Enable Thorough Scan
     -ARC                               :Scan Inside Archives
-SHUTDOWN                 :This Parameter Is Used In order To ShutDown The System After The Scan's
                                               Finished!

And Finally , To Abort The Scan Any Point If You Like,
Hold The Ctrl Key and Press Break Key On Your Keyboard

These Commands Are Only Applicable To Systems,Which Has  AVG Antivirus.
and This Antivirus I Use Is Not For Promoting The Antivirus ,But Just to Show You The Way to Scan Antivirus Using Command Line.

For Command Line Arguments for Other Antivirus Such as Avast,Kaspersky etc Can Be Found From Their Own SItes Or By Googling it. Some Company Run Their Own Command Line Apps Bundled With The Installer.

Some Are Linked Below:

Avast Command Line
Kaspersky Command Line
Avira Command Line
Eset Command Line

I Believe This Would Help  :)
